Blind Spot is a striking, free-standing sculpture brought to life through the visionary design of architects Brian Havener and JP Jackson. The intricate metal structure and its inner components were fabricated by Amber Lelli and Meredith Edmondson. As a featured installation at Blink Cincinnati 2024, Blind Spot captivated audiences, blending artistic ingenuity with architectural precision. Tucked away at an intersection of alleys, Blind Spot is a light-based installation constructed of convex mirrors aglow at their edge. Just as these chrome medallions reveal the concealed corners of our urban landscapes, they are here re-framed and illuminated, beckoning viewers to see the unseen. Seemingly weightless in its column-like assembly, mirrors within arm's reach spin freely upon a viewer's touch. Ever in motion, the mesmerizing play of light and reflection resonates with the communal spirit of BLINK.
